Mississippi State vs. Kentucky – 2014 College Football

Expert college football handicapper, Lee Sterling, breaks down the 2014 Mississippi State vs. Kentucky college football game.

This is Lee Sterling of ParamountSports.com. Today, I’m going to break down a big rivalry game, big game in the SEC: game between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Kentucky Wildcats. Before I break down and predict this game winner, I want to remind everyone what we have going this week at Paramount Sports.

We’re going to do the same exact promotion we did last week: 8 games, just $88. Eight combined games on Saturday and Sunday, just $88. We have the November to remember special coming up the following week so it’s a great way for you to get involved. If you’ve been with me before; or took a break for a week or two; or have never been involved: 8 games, just $88, paramountsports.com or 800-400-9741.

Now, on to this game Saturday between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and they’re laying 13 1/2 points at the Kentucky Wildcats. This is a game of match-ups in my opinion. It’s a Mississippi State rushing attack, which has rushed for at least 201 rushing yards in all 6 games this year verse the Kentucky front 7. The Kentucky front 7 has some real problems. They allowed 183 yards rushing to Tennessee-Martin, not even a Division I school. Florida, who has had some real problems on offense this year, just gained 237 yards on them. That, I believe was Florida’s highest total this year. South Carolina had 282 rushing. LSU peaked last week at 303 rushing yards against the Kentucky defense.

Kentucky was humbled last week, when the played LSU. The Wildcats, if you study them, and I think they’re much improved, they have trouble stepping up a class against the top tier in the SEC. Mississippi State is also coming off the bye last week; gives them extra time to game plan. They’re quarterback, Dak Prescott: 22 combined touchdowns this year. And Josh Robinson, who last year gained 5.9 yards per carry, this year already 7.2 yards per carry and 689 yards rushing. The train is not coming off the track just yet. I’m going to ride Mississippi State here. They double up Kentucky here, 42-21. Take the Mississippi State Bulldogs here.
